       Chapter of the
       1818 Alumni Society of the
       World Bank Group.

The chapter was set up in December 2007 at a meeting of 23 former World Bank Group staff who met in Sydney Australia.  The chapter represents the interests of World Bank Group Alumni who are now living in the ANZ area. It will serve as a link  to the main 1818 Society management as well as to the other chapters of the Society in several countries. It will also serve to keep members up to date on current, past and future events.
Jo Martins is the current chairperson. If you are interested in joining your former colleagues contact Jo at his e-mail:jmartins @tpg.com.au.
One of the main concerns expressed by the former staff members was the lack of support they were getting from the World Bank authorities in DC in trying to convince the Australian tax authorities that Bank staff pensions were being unfairly subjected to taxation.
